Locking the keypad on the Nokia 6620

Can't figure out how to do this. Found instructions online, but I can't seem to get it to work. Can anyone help with very clear instructions for locking the keypad for dummies? Thanks in advance.

Press the left soft key then the star key quickly. You have to hit the star key within a second or 2. You unlock the same way. The left soft key is the top left key above the send key. The star key is the very bottom left key. HTH.

Thank you so much. One place I checked said you had to press a bunch of numbers after you did the asterisk key, so I was really confused.

I think the thing with pushing numbers is if you put a security code on your phone. Glad you got it to work.
